Workshop 1 – Sat PM – Developing vinyasa: Jumping through and jumping back
Learning how to get the most out this key vinyasa in the ashtanga practice can radically transform how you manage your energy and build strength and grace. In this workshop we will play with ways to take vinyasa, the jump back, and several other challenging ashtanga vinyasa sequences to the next level. Ryan will show you exercises to deepen your understanding of the mechanics of this often elusive series of movements.
Workshop 2 – Sun AM – Intro to the Intermediate series
If you’re interested to begin developing the 2nd series, Ryan will guide you through fun and practical ways to approach these postures. Understanding the key principles of the more advanced postures will allow you to begin working with them in your practice regardless of your flexibility. This workshop will be for people who have a familiarity with Ashtanga Yoga or a dynamic yoga practice.
Workshop 3 – Sun PM – Meditation
Meditation is an essential part of an integrated yoga practice. In this afternoon session Ryan will introduce you to simple techniques that will help you get started. If you have some familiarity with meditation Ryan will be able to offer guidance and provide a space for deeper inquiry. There will be time for questions and discussion about meditation specifically and other areas of Yoga practice in general.
