I’ll be teaching a Yoga Holiday on the beautiful island of Crete May 5-12. The week will be filled with Ashtanga Yoga in the mornings and Yoga and other goodies, meditation, philosophy, dialogue in the afternoons. There will be lots of time for sun, relaxing, meandering, pondering, perambulating, communicating, gesticulating, and masticating yummy food.

This inspiring yoga holiday is set on the wild, unspoilt south coast of Crete. The small family run hotel is perched on a small cliff overlooking the beach with far reaching views out to sea. It’s the ideal place to rediscover yourself and enjoy a week of yoga, fun and relaxation. Every en suite bedroom has a stunning view of the Mediterranean from its balcony or terrace. The rooms are simple, clean and spacious. There will be a twice daily yoga practice, in the morning and late afternoon, with perfect yoga spaces both indoors and outside by the pool.
Apart from twice daily yoga classes, guests can swim or snorkel in the sea, relax by the pool, enjoy a massage, chill in a hammock or simply sunbathe. Or, if you feel like a lovely long walk, you can take an exhilarating hike along an endless beach, exploring local history or just strolling to a nearby taverna.
Delicious, healthy and nutritious vegetarian lunches and dinners – drawing inspiration from the Cretan diet which is reputedly the healthiest in the world – are served buffet style, with a stunning view. At all times guests are welcome to help themselves to a wide variety of teas, including medicinal Cretan mountain teas, as well as fresh coffee, fruit and nuts. Breakfasts are self service with a lovely selection of muesli, fruit, freshly made yogurt, toast and local honeys and jams.
Everything at the retreat is included: accommodation, meals, all yoga classes and local transfers to and from our recommended flights. The exception is massage and a Friday night group meal at a traditional taverna.
Ryan will lead an early morning Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga session for all levels including time for experimentation and play (with the option for Mysore style if there is enough interest). In the afternoon session we will explore Ashtanga techniques, meditation and Yoga philosophy.
